This workshop is for you if you: don’t like support groups, ever feel lost or overwhelmed by your grief experience, want to transform the way you approach grief, want to dig into real self care, think you don’t have time to grieve, wish grieving could be fun or silly sometimes, are scared of facing grief, want a reset, don’t know how to ask for care or help, feel like it’s hard to connect when you’re down, feel disconnected from yourself, or carry grief like a heavy load.

Holly The Riot is a multi-disciplinary artist living at All You Need Institute. In 2014, her father was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and two years later, her parents moved to join Holly and her sister In Seattle, Washington. Through her grieving process, therapy, and Covid, and her father’s death, Holly gained new eyes on spirituality and self care. She built an early version of a guided journal for herself and her loved ones, hoping one day it might grow legs and help others too. With writing prompts and communication tools from that journal, plus original music and laughter, Holly offers a workshop for approaching grief with a playful invitation. Held by the land she now calls home, Holly offers tools she learned from reading and feeling in the form of a workshop experience this Mother’s Day weekend.
