An American born dreamer, Holly’s early love for artistic endeavors ranged from singing and dancing to writing and drawing. From a young age she was sketching portraits, encouraged by a creative father and nurturing mother. A purely creative career seemed impractical in nature, and so all these modes of expression remained on the sidelines of her life into her 20s, while she worked in hospitality and retail. She would develop a vocal style with colorful stage presence through karaoke, jazz lessons, Seattle Women’s Chorus and The Brodcast- a rap project on which she wrote her own background vocal parts and contributed to recordings and live shows. Slowly developing a practice for her own song writing, Holly’s vocal -and painting- styles have continued to be enriched during world travels since 2023. A charming combination of ink and watercolor have developed in her portraits. She’s painting expressive indoor murals. Her lilting yet powerful vocals tear straight to the gut. Thought provoking and fueled by emotion, her one woman show “Songs for the Brave and Brokenhearted” leads the audience on a crucial journey through a modern, clever lens with levity-infused wisdom gleaned from her grief process.
